Hi there, I am a pizza, and this is how people digest me! When you eat any kind of food it must go down somewhere. You chew it in your mouth, you swallow it, it goes down your throat, and into your stomach there is an acid called gastric acid or called stomach acid when you eat the food goes down into the stomach acid begins to break down the food into small pieces. This is called digestion. When you drink a liquid, it does the same, but it takes a tad bit longer.
