The equation is already in standard form.

Answer:

9x+16=120

Step-by-step explanation:

While this equation is already in Ax+By=C format, it does not meet all of the rules required for it to be considered standard form, the rules for standard form are as follows:

A, B, and C have no common factors other than 1 (it cant be simplified)

A, B, and C are integers (integers are any number that is not a decimal or fraction)

There is also a rule that A has to be non-negative however many of the equations I have been given have a negative A factor, so my best guess for that is that its situational based.

However, in the equation 3/8x + 2/3y=5 A and B are not integers, so you have to multiply all of the numbers (in this case 3/8, 2/3, and 5) by the LCD or least common denominator, in this case it is 40.

Honestly, the question I received with this promt was multiple choice, and 9x+16y=120 was the correct answer, I looked up how to do the problem because my algebra teacher isn't that helpful and this is what I found, if this doesn't work for you I'm very sorry, all I know is that 9x+16y=120 is the correct answer.
