Explanation:

Max Nordau was a psychiatrist and was born as a Jew. The Jews were considered less masculine and they lacked instincts to go to war. Many thinkers before Nordau thought that the Jew would never be able to live as an honourable man.  

But Nordau’s take on this was different even though he criticised the religion. He introduced the idea Jewry of muscle and promoted it. He glorified masculinity and considered it necessary and powerful. This was similar to the thoughts of several thinkers of that time.
