To manifest is to appear. "The answer manifested itself to me at once." As though used as presented, the word can also be construed as making something obvious.
(If that is not what your teacher is looking for, the second closest would be determined, as in Manifest Destiny, though I would argue that that is an example still supporting the meaning as "obvious".)
