The differences are that Daedalus has a nephew call Talos. He wants him to be like Icarus but Icarus is very clumsy. There is also this predator bird that tells Daedalus that he hates Talos and that he wants to kill him. He asked Talos if he thought that flying is possible and Talos said yes that it could be so then he swirls him around and because he is on the roof at that time, Daedalus purposely swung him off the roof and then Talos died. In the movie the story carries on after Icarus dies. In the movie, Daedalus kills King Minos in the bath by pouring boiling hot water into the bath, this was after Icarus dies. Daedalus gets found by Minos again before he kills him. They don’t live in a soaring tower in the labyrinth Minos told him to build.
Similarities:
It’s the same story, names and idea. There is mostly the same characters. They try to escape from Crete. Daedalus makes wings. Daedalus makes Minos’s labyrinth. There is a Minotaur. Icarus dies. King Minos is mean and ugly. Icarus is a young boy. Daedalus is an inventor.
