2. When the minerals in rocks are exposed to oxygen in the atmosphere, most become oxidized hence changing the rock’s chemical properties. An example is Fe which becomes Fe₂0₃ and Fe₂0₂. This change in chemical properties will also most likely affect the physical property of the rock such as becoming more brittle and easily break apart.
3. Glaciers form- U-shaped valleys because the erosion at the top of the glacier is more or less the same as that at the bottom of the glacier and glaciers tend to carve deep into the ground than water. This is because the glacier acts as one mass/block as opposed to a river that tends to have a higher vertical erosion than horizontal erosion. More so, ice scoured the sides of the valley as it moves down the valley slowly.
