Answer: First it's important for the technician to be able to read the prescription accurately because they are the one's who enter it into that database. The pharmacist might not always double check and just trust that the technician entered the right numbers.

What would concern me is if the pharmacy technician couldn't read the prescription right because they didn't learn roman numerals, and they entered the wrong prescription, which caused a medical error.
