The measures of the angle are 37 degrees, and 53 degrees if the angle measures 16° less than the measure of its complementary angle.

What is an angle?

When two lines or rays converge at the same point, the measurement between them is called a "Angle."

It is given that:

An angle measures 16° less than the measure of its complementary angle.

Let x be the angle.

From the definition of the complementary angle

If one angle is A then the other angle will be (90 - A) or the sum of the two angles equal to 90 degrees.

The complementary angle of x is (90 - x)

x = (90 - x) - 16

2x = 90 - 16

2x = 74

x = 74/2

x = 37 degrees

The other angle measure = 90 - 37 = 53 degrees

Thus, the measures of the angle are 37 degrees, and 53 degrees if the angle measures 16° less than the measure of its complementary angle.
