Another example is a rabbit who eats vegetables and sometimes are known to eat meat at harsh moments.

Predators and prey can both be omnivores ( i.e. carnivores and herbivores ) if ; Both predators and prey feeds on meat and plants

  • Bears
  • Raccoons  and
  • Fox

Some preys are primary predators preying on much smaller animals while been prey to Bigger carnivores. such primary predators are mostly omnivores because they feed on both meat and plants. example : Pigs and rats

Hence we can conclude that Predators and prey can both be omnivores ( i.e. carnivores and herbivores ) if  Both predators and prey feeds on meat and plants
