Here's my two-cents on drawing softwares since I asked myself this a year ago :)
-If you're going professional, the most well known (and expensive) design/drawing/editing software is photoshop!
-Personally, since I can't afford photoshop and when I was just starting, I search all over the web and came across gimp (whatever the latest or best version is). It is completely FREE and mid-range beginner friendly and there are tons of video out there to help you get started.
Anyway, this is my two-cent thought. If it helps, I'm happy to be of service....haha:D
