The term Indo-European can refer to and ethno-racial group of people, or to the linguistics of a group of people. Anyways, this is the most wide-spread group of people in the world. The Indo-Europeans have their roots in the Aryan people from Central Asia, which managed to spread out anywhere from Spain and Britain in the west, to India in the east. The easternmost this group of people managed to get was in northwestern China, represented by the Tocharians.
- With the spread of the Indo-Europeans, their culture was spreading with them as well, thus their language with it.
- Most of Europe, Anatolia, Iran, and big portion of South Asia became dominated by these people and their languages.
- The people constantly migrate though, so lot of changes have happened, so the Indo-Europeans lost some areas in the Old World, but on the other hand, they spread out on three new continents, and soon became dominant on them.
- At present, this group of people and languages spatial layout is in most of Europe, Iran, big portion of South Asia, Northern Asia, North and South America, Australia, and smaller enclaves here and there scattered around the world.
