The errors in estimating the area covered by an object are Measuring error, calculation error and rounding error.
What is the area covered by an object?
The area covered by an object is the space or surface occupied by the object. Any object, which exist in real has occupies some area in the space.
To estimate the area covered by an object, we have to find the shape of the object. If the shape of the object is quadrilateral, then multiply the height of it to its base. This is same for finding the area of a triangle.
Type of error which can be occur while estimating the area covered by an object-
- Measuring error- If the error is made while measuring the sides of the object, then the resultant error will not be accurate.
- The measuring error of calculating the area of object is caused by the imperfect calibration of measuring instrument or imperfect methods of measurement.
- Measuring error- While using the formula for estimating the area covered by an object, the calculation error result in the inaccurate resultant. The calculation error is caused by the inappropriate formula used or human error of calculation.
- Rounding error- Rounding error is occurred when the final result of area is rounded inaccurate. This is caused by the imperfect rounding method.
Thus the errors in estimating the area covered by an object are Measuring error, calculation error and rounding error.
