Active listening is a technique used in training, counseling, dispute resolution and conflict resolution. Some of the examples of active listening techniques are confidence-building and relationship-building, non-verbal signs that show understanding (eye contact, head-on), or may be short verbal signs of confirmation ("I see," "thanks," "of course"). Also, asking a question is part of this technique in order to better address these situations of training, counseling or dispute resolution.
