The Continental margin s the zone that differentiates the three zone s of the deep ocean basin, mod oceanic ridges, and gives rise to the zones of the continental rise, slope, and the shelf. Constitutes about 28% of the oceanic area.
The continental slope is an extension at the outer edges of the shelf, down to the Continental rise, and ranges from one to ten km. With a 15 degree of slope and is a feature of deposition.
