We know that the Baltic Sea froze over as did many bodies of water, like rivers for example did as well. The vikings ate cows,grew crops, fished in the seasĀ and experienced famine yes but we read trade was blocked by drifting icebergs so I don't think that is right. Europe did have a period of agricultural productivity due to increased rainfall but that was during the Medieval Warming period and happened prior to Little Ice Age!
