Chemical industry serves as the cornerstone of the Indian economy. With the adaption of the digitilization chemical industries have gained more reputation in the domestic markets.
This digitalization is enabling companies to produce to need, creating greater price volatility for incremental supply and strengthening the economy. With more innovation comes the more profit and thereby helping the advancement in the trade of processed chemicals. The advantages of chemical industries are as follows,
- Helps in increased employment in the nation.
- Perpetual exports to various countries.
- Production of various pesticides and fertilizers helps in increased agricultural yields.
- Supply of pharmaceuticals for the drug store (Diagnostics, prescription drugs, vaccines, vitamins and over-the-counter drugs for human and veterinary applications)

Negative effects of the chemical industry on society:

- The industrial wastage dumped into the water resources like sea, river or fresh water resources causes degradation of the water life.
