First thing you do, is see if the denominators are the same! If they are, all you do is add the numerators together! If they aren’t see what both denominators have in common. If the smaller one can go into the bigger one, then do the same thing to the top. This sounds confusing but stay with me! Let’s say the 2 denominators are 4 and 8. 4 can go into 8, 2 times! So you multiply the numerator of 4, by 2 also! And then leave the other fraction alone! HOPE THIS HELPED! SORRY FOR CONFUSION
