Tl;dr - i need a good application to bypass school firewall

This has nothing to do with school, but I need help trying to bypass my schools system firewall. It blocks certain applications and websites. I've tried downloading a VPN on a USB flash drive then copying it onto the laptop the school gave to me. I also removed the digital signature and it opened but it wasn't working. Could anyone give me some tips or applications I could use to bypass the schools firewall?
