We will be giving persuasive speeches in this class. As a speaker, it is important to recognize the existence of others’ opinions, backgrounds, personally held biases and attitudes concerning any topic. This will inform your logic when approaching the subject and the type of research you present. As an audience member, you must recognize your own opinions, biases, etc. and be open to hear the speaker and his/her information prior to making an informed judgement. We all experience this possible communication barrier. It is which type of "noise"?
