1. Usually, the "Declaration of Faith" is a pretty straightforward, logical practice. It's what you do when you know your "church" is about to "cast you out" (aka "get rid of you" aka "kill you dead") for being a nonbeliever!!! You declare your faith to the respective church, faith, and deity, and everything from there is back to singing and choirs.
2. All jokes aside, the "Declaration of Faith" is actually a term commonly associated with the Islam belief. I (personally) don't know much of it's origins or proper practices, but I do know that it expects you to literally declare your faith in the Islam (Muslim) beliefs.
