1.Matter can neither be created nor destroyed
2.Matter is either solid, liquid, gas, plasma and another one is BEC(Bose Einstein Condensate). There also exists something called semi-solid, eg: Toothpaste
3. Particles of matter are extremely small.
4. Particles of matter are continously moving.
5. Particles of matter have spaces between them.
6. Particles of matter have a interparticle force of attraction.

1. Atoms can neither be created nor destroyed
2. They have three subatomic particles, namely Proton, Electron and Neutron.
3. They have a nucleus, in which resides protons and neutrons.
4. They have orbits in which electrons rotate.
5. Electrons can be shared, or transferred or accepted.
6. Atoms also have Subshells named S,P,D,F.
7. The no. of electrons in an orbit is found by the formula 2n^2 where n = no. of orbit.
