Conflict problems can range from simple to complex. Yet, there are strategies to resolve or avoid the growth of conflict that can be categorized as diffusion, avoidance, or confrontation.

The example of avoidance is turning on the TV instead of considering arguments. Two workers who talk to their superior about a disagreement is an example of diffusion.
