What is the best English translation for laudatus est?
I was praised
He was praised
She was praised
I was praised

Yes, I know there are two I was praised...one of the reasons I am confused.

Respuesta :

Answer: I guess none of them

Explanation: in this case there isnt any personal pronoun

You could either choose "He was praised" or "She was praised", This is of course because there are two "I was praised" answer choices.

Although, another reason to choose one of those two is because this is asking for Perfect Passive Tense to be translated.

In Perfect Passive Tense, "est" after any verb (In this case "laudatus") would either be "He was praised", "She was praised", or "It was praised".

If you have all of these as answer choices, I would choose "It was praised".

But, as you only have "she" and "he" as choices, Choose whatever you feel it is.

Sorry I cant help all that much. if you have questions you can comment, I will answer just mabye not right away.

**Yes I know this is a year late, its mainly for people who are taking this course this year.
