-STRENGTHS-
The Articles of Confederation was able to declare wars wherever and whenever they wanted to. This was an important strength to have at that time.
The Articles of Confederation was able to make treaties. An example of this was when they made a peace treaty with Great Britain.
-WEAKNESESS-
Some weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation was that they had no power of taxation. The nation continued to grow more debt.
Another weakness was that congress could not regulate trade. This meant that each state was in charge of its own commerce.
And lastly, there was no national court system which meant they had no control over the states.
