1995: Montgomery Bus Boycott! - This is the event where Rosa Parks committed a brave act getting arrested because she refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white male passenger. African Americans shortly after stopped using bus services and would rather walk the streets or get rides instead!
1961: Albany Movement! - This historic event protested segregation policies in Albany, Ga Many parties took part in this. Including a Student Coordinating Committee, The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, local activists and King's Southern Christian Leadership Conference. King mostly wanted to offer counsel than participation, but was sentenced 45 years, he managed to only get 3 days instead.
1963: March In Washington!! <3 - This was the largest political rally for human rights ever!! in the U.S! people have estimated from 200,000-300,000 people taking place in this event all coverage on the Mall in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 28, 1963, to protest for jobs and freedom for African Americans. King delivered his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. The March on Washington is credited with helping pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
