Research a recent event in an English newspaper or magazine. Then research that same event in a Spanish newspaper of magazine. (Online resources are fine.) Write 1-2 paragraphs (8-10 sentences total) in Spanish discussing the event seen through both viewpoints. What similarities are there in how the information is presented? What differences are there? What did you learn about the general viewpoints of both cultures?

THANK YOU! I WILL BE SURE TO MARK BRANLIEST!

Answer:

I researched about examples of racism and black lives matter. In the first newspaper, "The Appalachian Online", it talked in Spanish about the injustice towards POC in the United States. In the second newspaper, "The New York Times", it went into detail about specific details of a horrific event that occurred on the 25th of May, 2020. This was the day four police officers took the life of George Floyd. There have been many murders of African American people in the United States, but this specific event started an uproar of the citizens against the police and government.

These articles were similar in the fact that they both mentioned George Floyd and the many black lives matter protests that are currently taking place on the streets of cities. As well as the events, both articles educated the readers about the white privilegie of this world and the racism towards people, especially African Americans.

There were also some differences between these two articles. The Appalachian Online article stated the changes that would take place in their company. They said they would educate themselves more in detail by illuminating the underrepresented voices of their community. The New York Times article stated the many facts and details about the incident of George Floyd's death and the charges of each police officer responsible for the execution.
