A decrease in oxygen production occurs when the temperature rises. It is caused by incidents such as cloudy weather and weather and plant or algae die-offs that shut down photosynthesis.

Temperature has a direct relationship with oxygen production. The higher

the temperature, the higher the oxygen production.

Plants are the major producers of oxygen as it is produced during the

process of making food which is known as photosynthesis.

  • It employs the use of carbon dioxide and water to produce glucose and oxygen.
  • A higher temperature leads to more electron excitation and a corresponding increase in the photosynthetic activities of the plant.

The increase in the photosynthetic activities will therefore result to more

oxygen being produced.
