A kite in the shape of a rhombus has diagonals that are 25 inches long and 15 inches long. What is the area of the kite?

Respuesta :

well in order to figure this out we need to know the formula for the area of a rhombus. In this case it is
        pq
A = ------
         2
p = diagonal 1
q = diagonal 2
diagonal 1 = 25 inches
diagonal 2 = 15 inches
so lets plug in our values
      (25)(15)
A = ----------
            2

So first lets multiply 25 by 15
25 x 15 = 375

so since 2 is underneath our big number we divide by 2
375 ÷ 2 = 187.5
SOOO our answer...
 our rhombus kite is 187.5 inches squared
hope this was helpful
