The respiratory pathway describes the movement of oxygen molecule from the nose across various organs to get to its final destination which is the respiratory surface.
The path a molecule of o2 take from the nose to the respiratory surface is
Nose --- pharynx → larynx → trachea → bronchus → bronchiole → alveolus.
- As the larynx is located just below the pharynx, the next organ after the nose becomes the pharynx.
- This then follows through to the trachea and then downwards till it gets to the required destination which is the respiratory surface.
