There can't and never will be a single global culture. It just simply won't work because a culture is recognized by its distinctions and differences between other cultures. Since most cultures around the world are proud of it (which there is nothing at all wrong with), this will never happen.
There is a ideology that thankfully isn't incredibly popular but does think we need a global culture. That's one of the worst things that could possibly happen because, like I hinted at earlier, what defines and distinguishes humans from each other is our differences, not our comparisons.
