For African Americans, Philip Randolph was a civil rights activist who led the brotherhood of the sleeping car porters. His civil rights activist movements would make president Franklin d. Roosevelt issue executive order 8802 which allowed the practice of fair employment and equal opportunities for African Americans in the workplace.
Japanese Americans who lived mainly on the west coast were kicked out of their homes if they lived anywhere near a military zone and were put into internment camps which were very overpacked and gave poor living conditions.
Sorry, I don't have time to give a thorough answer atm, but here are some things to work with:
Phillip Randolph's civil rights movement persuaded Roseevelt to grant african-americans equal employment and opportunities
Japanese americans were removed from their homes and put in camps with low quality of life.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
