if they’re just referring to the area of the base, you would multiply the radius by 2 to get the diameter of the cyclinder, which is the width of the base. then you would multiply that by the length of the cyclinder, which is the length of the base. area is L x W, so
(6.5x2) = 13 ft
13 ft x 12 ft = 156 sq ft
