Respuesta :
Two or more velocities can be combined by using vector addition.
What are the two types of physical quantities?
There are two types of physical quantities:
- Vector quantites
- Scalar quantities
What is vector quantity?
- Those Physical quantity which has defined magnitude and direction is called vector quantity.
- For example: Velocity , Momentum , Force etc.
What is Scalar quantity?
- Those physical quantity which has only defined magnitude is called scalar quantity.
- For example: Mass , Weight etc.
- Now, velocity is a vector quantity so we cannot add the two velocities normally.
- Therefore we have to use vector addition to add two or more velocities.
So, we can add two or more velocities by using vector addition.
