The correct answer is - False.

The Maori people, thus their culture and language have nothing to do with Australia. The Maori are the indigenous people of New Zealand, while the Aborigines are the native people of Australia. The Maori language has been made an official language in New Zealand. Also, the Maori culture and heritage is well respected and preserved. These people didn't had such problems as most of the indigenous people in the colonial period, but instead they have gradually formed a nice and prosperous society with the new settlers, and they do not have any problems between them for quite some time.
