Local taxes are used for helping the community. Examples would be schools, road repairs, public parks, garbage, etc. Have you seen things like this improved to be your personal experience? Where was it? What changed?
Local taxes are used to provide goods and services to the community. Like you pay taxes to drive on the road. Those taxes are you to repair the road. A personal experience that I have with taxes is that my parents pay taxes and those taxes pay for schooling. By us paying local taxes the government can use our money to build and repair things instead of the government having to spend extra money to repair it.
