I did not know if you wanted question 18 helped w/, too, so here:

(revised)

To evaluate functions, simply plug in the values which are provided in order to get an output.

Remember that f(x), g(x), v(x), any letter of the English Alphabet times x, essentially equals y. Meaning, say, "f(x)" is the same thing as saying "y." For example, f(x)=2x quite literally means y=2x.

when x=-3,0, and 4

25. g(x)=6x

g(-3)=6*-3

g(0)=6*0

g(4)=6*4

26. h(x)= -10x

h(-3)= -10*-3

h(0)= -10*0

h(4)= -10*4

27. f(x)=5x-8

f(-3)=(5*-3)-8

f(0)=(5*0)-8f

(4)=(5*4)-8

28. v(x)=14-3x

v(-3)=14-3*-3

v(0)=14-3*0

v(4)=14-3*4

18. as x decreases, y tends to decrease

negative correlation: as x increases, y tends to decrease

positive correlation: as x increases, y tends to increase

Your friend is not correct because, though y is decreasing, x is decreasing also. A negative correlation can only exist if y varies directly with x in a negative way: as x increases, y tends to decrease.
