Neils bohr said electrons revolve around the nucleus in a particular path called as Orbit which are elliptical in shape. where as rutherford's Model of an atom tells us the electrons are present randomly in an atom like, how seeds present in watermelon. here seeds are considered electrons and pulp as protons and neutrons.
hope this helps!
Rutherford model does not explain the energy levels in an atom whereas Niels Bohr's model explains the energy levels in an atom.
Difference between Niles Bohr's models and Rutherford's:
Rutherford's model says that electrons may move anywhere with volume of space around nucleus. The concept contradicts the atomic model that was later proposed by Niels Bohr made restrictions on the movement of electrons by imposing pictures of electrons in an orbit around the nucleus. In this theory, he used the quantum rule which was introduced by Max Planck.
Bohr gave Rutherford's atomic model a shell structure in which a electrons correspond to specific orbits with a discrete energy level.
