which one of the following does not accurately describe the universal gravitational law? (a) gravitational forces is proportional to the product of the two masses.(B)every object in the universe that has mass attracts every other object in the universe that has mass.(c)the object with the smaller mass does most of the moving because the object with the larger mass has too much inertia to move any noticeable amount.(d) gravitational force is proportional to the square of the distance between the centers of both bodies.

Respuesta :

"B) gravitational force is proportional to the square of the distance between the centers of both bodies" is incorrect.

The gravitational force is *inversely* proportional to the square of the distance between the centers of both bodies. It's proportional to the inverse of the square of the distance between them.

Choices (a), (B), and (c) are true; they can all be teased out of
the simple formula for the force of gravity.

Choice (d) is not true.  It should say "... inversely proportional ..." .
