The Burmese pythons are a species of very large constrictor snake that is native to Southeast Asia's tropical forests. Because of the attractiveness of the species, some people have bought individuals to keep them as pets. This snakes grow very large though, and it is not an easy task to keep them as pets once they are grown, so most of the people have let them out in the wild in order to not kill them. The climate and the environment in Florida is actually suitable for the Burmese python to survive, so the released individuals continued to live and to multiply. They lack a natural predator, except maybe the alligators though it is a tie in a direct confrontation, and they have lot of prey on disposal, so they started to increase in numbers and made home of Florida's wilderness.
