Please answer these 5 Science questions (BE SERIOUS)

1. What does an increased pulse rate indicate about the heart rate and flow of blood in someone’s body?

2. When muscles are active, cells use nutrients and oxygen at a higher rate and produce waste chemicals and heat more rapidly. Describe how the interaction of two or more body system helps to maintain homeostasis during periods of high muscle activity. (Be sure to identify the two systems you refer to in your answer)

3. A student in your class suggest that when most people watch exciting sporting events on TV, their pulse rates increase. What is a reliable way to find out if the statement is correct?

4. What scientific evidence would you need in order to determine if what the student suggests in question #3 can be supported?

5. If you wanted to increase your clothespin-squeezing rate, would you suggest exercising or resting before you did it? Explain why you think your choice is the correct one?

Respuesta :

1. An increased pulse rate indicates that a person has an increased heart rate and a faster flow of blood. When muscles are active, cells use nutrients and oxygen at a higher rate and produce waste chemicals and heat more rapidly.

2. The circulatory system works with the excretory system to get rid of wasted chemicals.

3. The student could perform an experiment using the scientific method. The student could title it, “ Effects of Sports Events on Pulse Rates”, and form a hypothesis and gather data from the experiment.

4. You would have to find while your conducting your experiment the contestants tested had a higher pulse rate after watching a sporting event than before watching one.

5. Exercising before, because it gets your blood pumping which brings more oxygen to your muscles.
