you have to use the reciprocal of 1/2 and multiply reciprocal= flipping the fraction upside down

In this case, you would use the keep, change, flip method. You would keep 6/7, change the division to multiplication, and flip the 1/2 to 2/1. Then you would multiply across like in normal fraction multiplication problems. The answer would be 12/7, or simplified, 1 5/7.
