During the French Revolution, other countries of Europe were concerned about the growing revolutionary elements in their own countries.
The King of Austria and the King of Prussia formed the “First Coalition” and with a document called “Declaration of Intent” demanded the return of Louis XVI as the king and the termination of the Assembly with the help of outside intervention.
The Declaration caused the Revolution to become even more radical by becoming a uniting force and saw the declaration as a pronouncement for war with Austria.
