One of the advantages of Germany during WWII was the fact that Germany was located in Central Europe; While being in the central part of Europe is fairly disadvantage, you can look at it in a different perspective, in that all fronts would have a fairly even distance, and that messages would be easier to transfer home. This allows them to use blitzkrieg to the fullest, as they were able to cut off and defeat countries before they were able to communicate with allies.
