Answer:

b)Goliath relies on armor and traditional weapons, while David does not; thus adding to the theme of inner power over material support

Explanation:

David was the youngest of the sons of Jesse who had twelve sons. One day the nation of Israel was called to fight against the Philistines, both armies were facing each other on opposite sides of the Ela Valley. A Philistine of enormous stature and of great physical complexion excelled and surpassed everyone in the camp of the Philistines and the Israelites. This giant walked through all the ranks mocking the Israelites and their God, challenging to see if there was only one man who dared to fight one on one against him. But King Saul and the frightened Israelites did nothing.

David was sent by his father to visit the valley of Ela so that he could report to his father news of the camp and the soldiers since several of his sons were in the ranks. David heard Goliath mock God and being courageous in his conviction to God, he volunteered to fight Goliath. David was able to persuade the king to let him fight in that battle even though the armor was too heavy for David. Armed with only one wave and five stones David went to the battlefield where an impatient, proud and overflowing Goliath awaited him. Seeing him without armor, Goliath who was armed with sword and spears mocked the young boy, but David replied that he had come from the God of armies. Immediately after he grabbed one of his stones and using his wave he threw it towards the giant's forehead, the stone embedded in his forehead and the giant fell dead. Then David took Goliath's sword and used it to cut off the giant's head.

Seeing that their battle giant had fallen, the Philistines fled the battlefield. Israel had won the battle thanks to a young boy full of courage and faith to believe in the power of God.
