Which influential political leader drafted the Bill of Rights?

D) James Madison!

Have a BEAUTIFUL day~

Answer:

D. James Madison

Explanation:

James Madison (1751-1836) was one of the Founding Fathers of the U.S. and one of the drafters of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Although a Federalist who at the beginning opposed the Anti-Federalists' idea of adding a Bill of Rights to the Constitution because he deemed it unnecessary, Madison later agreed to draft one mainly for two reasons: to educate people on their rights and to protect them from future oppressive governments and to get the Anti-Federalists' approval for the recently drafted Constitution.

As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, then, Madison originally drafted 19 amendments, however, only 10 of those amendments were ratified and became part of the Constitution. These amendments are the first 10 amendments that exist nowadays, and are referred as "the Bill of Rights."
