I am confused? How would I write this out and solve it?

$\sqrt{17} (4 \times 2) - 7$

$\sqrt{17} (8) - 7$
$4.12 \times 8 - 7$
$32.96 - 7$
$x = 25.96 \: which \: is \: around \: to \: 26$
