When Islam started in the Arabian peninsula in the 7th century, it started to spread all over the Arabic territories and far away due to two important factors: conquest and trade. Through trade and the conquering of new territories, Muslim teachings got to North Africa, the Middle East, and parts of Europe such as the Iberian Peninsula.
