In Ray Bradbury's book Farenheit 451, Faber mentions that the last liberal arts college was shut down 40 years before the story in the book.
This college was shut down due to the fact that nobody attended and there was no funding to keep the college going.
Personally, I wouldn't enjoy an education that did not include any type of art -music, dance, painting, etc.- because I believe that art makes people develop a different view of life and it helps to open minds.
