Han Dynasty started in 206 BC and is one of the most powerful and prestigious in the Chinese history. One of the major achievements of the Han Dynasty was the “Silk Road” since it helped in the economic, cultural and religious development of China. The Silk Road was a network of trade routes that linked the East and the West. On it, China traded silk in exchange for horses since Chinese horses were weak and did not support the weight of its soldiers. Therefore, Chinese people exchange silk for superior horses raised by nomads.
