From Thomas Edison’s light bulb to Henry Ford’s affordable automobiles to Frederick Taylor’s time-study analysis, US innovations influenced business, industry, and technology in the United States throughout the 1900s and into the present. How does the business environment and technological innovation in the modern United States resemble the United States during the late 1800s and early 1900s? What are the strengths and weaknesses of the US culture of innovation throughout history and today?

The nineteenth and early twentieth century in America is characteristic of the accelerated development and advancement of industry and technology. Thanks to the industrial revolution, the need for many new workforce has been opened, lifestyles are changing, technological innovations that have a great deal of influence on changes in everyday life are present. It lives faster, more dynamic. All of this is present in America today, and on a much larger scale. The characteristic of the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century is the development of information technology. Development is enormous with unprecedented possibilities. All this speed in development allows faster flow of information, even greater investments, travel more than ever, people can learn different cultures and enrich themselves. On the other hand, as in the Industrial Revolution in the 19th century, there is a growing division between the rich and the poor. The law of capital conceals power in the hands of a certain number of people. Of course there is a middle class that has more options and choices than ever in terms of self-education, prosperity, travel, contacts with anyone in the world are far easier on the Internet than through telegraphs in the 19th century. All this represents the strengths of the US today. Weaknesses today, as well as through history, would be racism, racial conflicts, the poverty of a large number of people who do not even have conditions for social protection, can not go to doctors when they are ill.

The business environment and technological innovation in modern United States resembles the 1800's and early 1900's because during these times the technological innovations and business environments were flourishing, helping the United States to come out of the hard times such as the Great Depression. These advances had helped the United States to become the most productive countries that we are today. So the 1800's, early 1900's, and Modern United States all had/ have the advanced business environments, and technological innovations causing America to be the most productive countries in all of the time periods. The strengths and weaknesses of the Us Culture of Innovation through out history and today are the same. The strengths are that the development of innovations had led to more and improved inventions and more efficient business, innovations are changing and shaping the future of innovations and the future people. New inventions had been made through out all of histories. This strength had made United States become one of the strongest economic and industrial centers. The weakness would be that we are in a forever growing debt with other countries because of our innovations demand. We build our innovations in other countries putting us in further debt. Debt has been a problem through out history to modern history.
